Job description
The Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Coordinator for the Litigation practice group will report directly to the Practice & Business Development Manager (P&BDM) and will serve as the liaison between the practice group and the marketing & business development functions within the department. Responsibilities and requirements for this role are listed below.
Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of practice group goals and coordinate with Practice & Business Development Managers (P&BDM) and Managing Directors (MD) on implementation of marketing and business development tactics
Create business development materials for attorneys and track progress/results of new business pitches
Assist in the development of responses for requests for proposals (RFPs)
Maintain, update and develop general business development materials and content including work experience
Draft case write-ups for Chambers, Benchmark Litigation, and other third-party ranking sources
Oversee and coordinate practice group seminars, events, and webinars from start to finish, including working with P&BDM and MD, along with attorneys on program content and agenda development, mailing lists and invitations, presentation materials, registration, CLE credit applications as needed, etc.; work closely with conference services department regarding logistics
Coordinate efforts around the department’s signature thought leadership publications including project timeline and promotional campaign
Develop and maintain targeted lists for practice group mailings, events, email alerts, etc.; coordinate with Marketing Manager of Technology on list maintenance
Maintain business development activities in InterAction (CRM) for prospects and clients
Support sponsorship execution (e.g. collateral, logistics, etc.)
Track and maintain practice-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) for presentation to firm management, MDs and practice heads
Assist in content development and distribution through digital platforms – including social media, blog, firm website, e-newsletters, etc. – and print media
Coordinate and attend practice group luncheons (assist in preparing meeting agendas and scheduling, along with other event details)
Meet regularly with designated P&BDM and MD, as well as Marketing team
Requirements:
The Business Development Coordinator will meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, experience within the legal or professional services field preferred
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and be proactive
Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills that allow the ability to work with a variety of attorneys and administrative staff, and the professional presence and demeanor to represent the firm
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet the demands of the position
Working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
Working knowledge of digital marketing
Ability to learn and utilize additional software applications (CRM, marketing Automation, web tools, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
